HSD MonoPro Coilovers for BMW 3 Series F31 Touring
Description
So I bought these HSD MonoPro coilovers back in July for £950 — thought they’d be perfect for my BMW 3 Series F31 Touring. Turned out they don’t fit my car, which is a bit of a shame because I’d been really excited about them. They’re a step up from the standard Dualtech ones — more performance-focused, with high-pressure monotube dampers that feel way stiffer and more controlled. The dampers use a super low friction coating, which means less resistance and smoother handling, especially on bumpy roads. The front spring rate is 8kg, rear is 10kg — decent for a tourer. You can adjust both height and damping, and there’s a massive range of ride height options.
The inverted damper design gives better strength for Macpherson struts, and some versions even come with camber and castor adjustments — useful if you want to tweak cornering. I’ve got alloy top mounts on most models, and Macpherson ones have camber plates and spherical bearings. The spring top plates are roller-bearing too, which helps with stability.
Kit includes 4 coilovers, two spanners, fitting instructions, and two HSD stickers. Fits all standard F31 Touring models with 3-bolt strut towers (pre-LCI), so it’s good for 2WD only — doesn’t work on xDrive versions.
I’m not selling them because I can’t use them — but I’m passing them on to someone who actually needs them. They’re in Woodville, South Derbyshire. The price is £720, but I’ll be honest — I didn’t expect to end up with a car that doesn’t take them. 😅 Just thought I’d share what happened. Photos are attached.
