Got this old Teac V480 deck and it’s still running pretty well. I had it serviced a while back, so the transport’s smooth and it plays quietly. It handles Dolby B and C, plus HX Pro — gives decent sound quality, especially for tapes. I’ve done some bias adjustments too, so it records fairly accurately depending on the tape type. If you're interested, I can show it working in person — no fancy setup, just turn it on and listen. Shipping it out from Mold, Flintshire, via tracked courier, which is £8.
