So, I’ve been living in this Bella Vista lodge at Smithy Leisure Park for a few months now, and honestly, it’s been a solid change from my old place. It’s a 40ft x 20ft Diamond Collection lodge, fully furnished and ready to go — no fuss, no prep work.

It’s got two bedrooms, which is perfect for a couple or two people, and I love the way the double glazing keeps the cold out, even in winter. The en-suite shower room is spotless and the utility space is actually handy — you don’t have to go far for basic things.

I’ve got a driveway spot too, so no parking worries, and the decking area is lovely — especially on sunny afternoons. The views from the park are stunning, especially when you’re out on the lawn or just sitting with a mug of tea.

The park is open all year, which is a real plus. It’s right on the edge of Bowness-on-Windermere, nestled in the countryside with views across the Trough of Bowland. There’s a fishing lake, an all-weather bowling green, and the Lancaster to Preston canal is just a stone’s throw away — great for walks or just catching a quiet moment.

I’m selling because I’ve moved to a different part of the country, and it’s been a bit of a shift. The original price was £185k, but I’ve been keeping it at £166,500 — it’s a fair bit less than what it was when it first came out, and I’ve still got the gas credit included (around £316), which makes it really practical to move into.

I’ve lived here for a while now and I can say it’s comfortable, quiet, and has a real sense of peace. If you’re looking for something solid and low-maintenance with real countryside views, this one’s worth a look.
