Rare Vintage Pioneer Stereo Set SA-6500II TX-6500II CT-F6060 Japan Working
Description
So I’ve been holding onto this old Pioneer stereo set for years — it’s one of those pieces that just feels like it came from another era. Built in Japan back in the day, this full 3-piece stereo stack is actually still working, which is rare for something this old. It’s the complete set:
- SA-6500II amplifier – 35W per channel, clean power, solid aluminum casing with those classic knobs. Works fine with phono, tuner, AUX, and tape inputs.
- TX-6500II tuner – analog dial, clear tuning meters, FM/AM selector. Still picks up signals nicely.
- CT-F6060 cassette deck – Dolby NR, auto-stop, VU meters, and both DIN and RCA inputs. Great for old tapes and music lovers who still dig the analog feel.
All three units power up and play through — I’ve tested them myself. The original Japanese styling is intact, and while there’s a bit of wear (like scratches and fingerprints), nothing major. It’s not brand-new, but it’s not broken either.
I found it in a storage unit a few years back and kept it because I just love how it sounds — warm, rich, and full of character. The cables and wires are all there, and I’ve kept it clean and stored it properly.
I’m moving to Chertsey, Borough of Runnymede, so I’m finally putting it up for sale. It’s not just a set — it’s a real piece of audio history. If you’ve ever had a vintage system or just love the sound of analog, this might be something you’d actually want to keep.
Price is £809.10 — not a lot for something that’s been sitting in a cupboard for decades, honestly. But it’s still a solid investment for a collector or someone who just wants a real stereo that actually works.
No parts are missing, and I’m selling it as a full stack — not pieces. If you’re into retro gear, this one’s worth a look.
