B&W DM 603 S2 Floor Speakers Cherry + Rotel RA-921 Amp
Description
I’ve had these B&W DM 603 S2 floor speakers for a few years now — they’re the cherry wood ones, and I’ve always been a fan of the way they handle sound. They’re 8-ohm, wired, and come with banana jacks, so you can easily connect them to anything. Made in the UK, they’re a solid pair for a home setup, especially if you’re into clean, detailed audio.I’ve kept them in the same room as my old turntable, and they’ve been a real upgrade over the basic speakers I had before. They’re not flashy, but the sound is actually quite satisfying — warm, clear, and not too loud.
And hey, I’ve also kept the Rotel RA-921 amp with them. It’s a compact, well-built thing — 2x25W, black anodised front, 5kg, feels sturdy. It has a MM phono input with full RIAA correction, three line inputs, a tape loop, and those little tone controls you can tweak up or down (±6dB). There’s also a headphone jack, which I’ve used a few times when I’m just listening to something quiet.
I’ve actually been using this whole setup for years, and it’s just worked well in my room in penmaenmawr, Conwy. I’m not selling it for a lot — it’s just that I’ve moved and don’t need it anymore. It’s still in great condition, no dents or wear, just like I bought it. If you’re into solid, reliable gear that doesn’t scream for attention, this might be something you’d actually enjoy.
