Description

So, I’ve been driving this Isuzu D-max for a few years now — it’s not just a vehicle, it’s kind of like my second home. It’s a Steel Edition, based on the V-Cross, and honestly, it’s one of those cars that feels like it was built for real work — not just city driving or weekend trips.

The steel-grey mica finish gives it that rugged, premium look, and it’s got a real solid feel underfoot. I’ve used it for everything from carrying heavy loads to off-road stuff — even waded through a bit of water once when the roads were flooded, and it handled it fine. The 4x4 system is smooth, especially with the shift-on-the-fly 4WD and rear differential lock. I can turn it on and off in a second when I need it, and it’s never been a problem.

Inside, it’s surprisingly comfortable. Leather seats, power lumbar, and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat — I’ve been using the power lumbar a lot when I’m on long hauls. The 9-inch touchscreen has DAB, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto — I use that every day. The climate control is split-zone, which is a real plus when you’re in different weather conditions.

Safety’s been a big deal for me too. It’s got a five-star Euro NCAP rating, and there’s a whole bunch of driver assist features — lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, all that stuff. I’ve actually used the emergency braking and lane departure warnings a few times, and it’s helped keep me safe.

The interior is clean, practical, and has a lot of storage — cup holders, door pockets, underseat space, even a rear USB. The rear seats fold flat, which is handy when I need to haul extra gear. I’ve also used the rear cross traffic alert and rear radar chipping guard, which I didn’t expect to be that useful.

It’s got 18-inch alloy wheels, gun metal handles, side steps, and a few little touches like heated mirrors and a welcome light. I’ve kept it well-maintained, and the engine runs smoothly.

I’m selling it because I’ve moved to Lydbury-North, Shropshire, and I’m looking to downsize. It’s been a solid companion over the years — I’ve used it for work, family trips, and just general getting around.

I’ll be honest — the price is £38,695.50, which is a bit less than the advertised £42,995 (excluding VAT), so it’s a fair bit of savings. But it’s still a tough, reliable, well-equipped machine that I’ve loved having.

If you’re looking for a serious, capable, and comfortable 4x4 with a real off-road edge — this one’s been in my driveway for years and I’m finally letting it go.
