Description

I’ve been driving this 2018 BMW X1 for a few years now and honestly, it’s been a solid daily driver. It’s a diesel 20d, 5-door, xDrive version with a 190ps engine — not flashy, but smooth and reliable. I’ve had it mostly on the road in Lancaster, Lancashire, and it’s held up well through all sorts of weather.

The interior is clean and well-maintained — black high-gloss trim with red/grey contrast stitching, and the seats are still in great shape. The 18-inch alloy wheels are light Y-spoke style, and I’ve kept them properly inflated with run-flat tyres, so I’ve never had to worry about a flat.

I’ve used the navigation, Bluetooth, and DAB radio a lot — the radio plays MP3s just fine, and the car has a decent amount of storage space, including that fold-down rear seat (60-40 split) that’s easy to use when I’m travelling with kids or just needing a bit more room.

Safety features are solid: airbags, electronic stability control, brake pad wear indicators, crash sensors, and a Thatcham 1 alarm with remote engine immobiliser. There’s also a child seat ISOFIX system for the rear seats, which I’ve used a few times.

I’ve had it serviced regularly, and it’s been through a full 128-point inspection by an AA technician — all the checks were passed, and it’s still within its MOT window. The battery safety cut-off and check warning system mean I don’t have to worry about lights or doors being left open.

The car comes with BMW ConnectedDrive services, including navigation, emergency call, and a 12-month subscription to Connected Plus (though you’ll need to set it up separately).

I’ve also got a 12V power socket in the centre console — useful for charging small devices. There’s a cupholder and some extra storage, and the electric windows and handbrake work smoothly.

I’m selling it because I’ve moved on to a different kind of car — it’s still in good condition, and I’ve kept it well cared for. It’s not a show car, but it’s been dependable, and I’ve driven it through a fair bit of local roads and occasional longer trips.

Price is £11,425.50 — I’ve kept it low because I’m just getting rid of it, not looking to make a big profit. If you’re thinking of buying a reliable, practical SUV with decent features and good safety, this one might fit your needs.

No major damage, no accidents, just normal use. If you’re local to Lancaster, I can arrange a view or a quick drive — happy to talk through it.
